Councillors Keith Parker and James Lewis joined ex-Yorkshire cricketing ace Arnie Sidebottom, for a special cricket coaching clinic for youngsters at Methley Cricket Club.
The scheme, which is run and funded by the Outer East Leeds Area Committee with coaching provided by Yorkshire County Cricket Club, encourages local youngsters between the ages of 7 and 15 to get involved in cricket.

"It provides youngsters with the opportunity to be active, have fun and develop their cricketing skills through the guidance of top Yorkshire coaches like Arnie."
Councillor James Lewis (Lab, Kippax & Methley) added: "The scheme increases in popularity each year which is a compliment in itself. Its success can also be measured by the increase in the numbers of kids in this area being selected for the county's cricket academies. It is a great benefit to aspiring young cricketers and, who knows, perhaps it will uncover some Yorkshire players of the future!"
