Methley Royals are preparing, under new coach Kelvin Skerrett, for a
pre-season friendly at Irlam Hornets.

The Royals have established a close relationship with the Manchester outfit since the BARLA National Cup clash last December.

They will visit Irlam on Saturday, August 8, for what promises to be a real festival of Rugby League.

Irlam have arranged a day's entertainment which will include a DJ, barbecues and stalls, and visits by Salford City Reds players.

The event, which will start at 10am and finish at 5pm, will also involve a tug of war, dancers and bungee runs; it is hoped that Channel M will televise the action.

Meanwhile, Methley are training at=2 0their Willowbridge base on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, from 7.00pm. New players are welcome.
