I am researching my family history, and would love to hear from anyone who might have any information on REGINALD BAILEY (b circa 1885) he married MARGARET DAVISON.

Their son, my father DENNIS BAILEY (b 1920), was born at Billy Wood, Kippax.

I am trying to find some information on my Gt Uncle Charles Hardman who is listed on the Kippax War Memorial.

According to War Graves Commission he was killed at Battle of Loos 3 October 1915 but that is all we know of him.

Is there a local history group who may be able to help please?

I am compiling a family history on the Infield family.

My great uncle Stephen Infield was a Kippax doctor for many years since the early 1900's.

I would appreciate any information regarding the family especially from descendants that may also be following this line of enquiry.

From the 1911 census the family resided at Kippax House, Butt Lane, Kippax.

I have traced my family history back to John Clayton b. Abt 1610 in Methley and possibly married to Rose.

The Clayton's lived in Methley for at least another four generations.

I wonder if anyone has information on the Clayton family from this time?

I am trying to locate relatives born in Kippax during the 1940s/50s.

The information I can give is:
Names - Josephine and Patricia Varley
Father - Ramond Varley, deceased ( I think he died in the late 60s)
Mother - Doris
Lived: 9 Waddington row (where Patricia and Josephine may have been born)
They moved to Great Preston estate (probably on demolition of Waddington row)

I heard they had moved to Swillington after the death of Raymond, but I cannot confirm that.

I also heard thatone of the daughters lived in Kippax during the 90s, I cannot confirm that fact either

My reasons for attempting to contact the ladies is that a relative has been discovered who was adopted 80yrs ago, and I would like to put them in touch

I am tracing my family tree and have found that my great grandfather Francis Robinson was born in Kippax in 1854.

He was one of six children, his siblings were George B. 1851 in Castleford, Emma b. 1860 and married a Thomas Wilson, Hannah Marie b. 1862, Mary b.1864 and John Laurence b. 1867 and married a Rose Mitchell. John Laurence and Rose had a son John who was killed in the first world war.

My interest is in all these siblings of Francis and his parents John Robinson and Ann Appleyard both born in Ledsham, Frances was a Groom at the local big house but moved to London where he joined the Metropolitan Police Force.

He married and had five children George being my grandfather.

If anyone knows of any relatives of the above people I would love to get in touch as I never knew my grandparents and my late father didn't know much about either side of his parents family.

I am trying to research my family history. My grandparents lived in Kippax.

There was Frank Backhouse who married Hilda Ridsdale and also my other grandmother was Francis Farrar who married James Ridsdale.

My grandfather Frank is burried in the new graveyard, but I canot find out which grave is his.

There is no headstone, it is grassed and near some others just the same. I know it is one of these, but when I consulted the burial register it's number is not written down.

I am hoping to hear from anyone who knew my family and can give me any details.
